Last night I hosted the Red Rock Recovery open mic, which I will be doing every month on the third Friday of the month. I was shaking the whole time. Never stopped. When will my nerves calm down?
Zach played three original songs, one of which was dedicated to girls and women about the pressure they feel to have the perfect body and the self-doubt they feel when they don’t. He said all of us were beautiful. It was beautiful.
I followed his act with my story. Here it is. Could I be more shallow? Could I be more vain? Ah, well, humor to make fun of my neurosis. But hey, I’m really tan. And that’s really all that matters.
